Usually a REALLY messy base sketch to just get the general movement and form down, then a refined sketch and depending on how rendered I want it to be, lineart on top. Then I just block in base colours (or values if I'm going for greyscale), add shading/lighting and edit!

Drawn on autodesk sketchbook, I wanted to try using my regular style...it was so hard cause none of the brushes blend (or they weren't on the right setting for it, so I had to use the blend tool lol.) So coloring the greyscale base and the colors took me over 4 hrs ;^;.

Greyscale is done in my clip studio adventures, lil break then time to see how I can colour in this software. So far I'm very happy with it, but not 100% sold on abandoning PS yet. Might come though, it doesnt seem unlikely.

Here is my new fursona - Grey. Turns out I'm not a fan of cell shading anymore. This piece was made mostly to experiment with lineart settings. Greyscale character on a colored background is my personal favourite motif (I hope I used this term correctly)

Been doing greyscale for a while but never could truly convert them into proper color without things looking monotonous. Decided to buy 's Greyscale to Color tutorial and oh boy, aint that make it all the simpler & vibrant!
