Dale had his shadows, obvs... Evil Dale Cooper is literally the main antagonist of TPtR. But he was entirely external to the hero.

Shinji, on the other hand, had a counterpart, a narrative foil -- and that counterpart wasn't dark, but a perfect glowing paragon of benevolence.

FF Tactics Adv. This game’s illustrations were a big influence with my art career as did the excellent character design and A+ narratives. It included a disabled character that found a way to cope with life that was hitting me HARD as a mentally ill kid and made sense to me.
