Artbreeder's splicer tool is still my go to recommendation for AI art fun, since there's far more limitation and you can spend lots and lots of time trying to express an idea or explore interesting peaks in probability space.

i keep doing a thing where I'll finish shading and decide at the very end "I AM GOING TO PLAY AROUND WITH LIGHTING." (add a darker color on top of everything and erase for 20 minutes). so far it's been going well but it's becoming an issue
