On that last note, I think each series' new forms do a good job illustrating my point.
SS4's debut was a bit ham-fisted, it was used poorly post-Baby, and you may not like its look... but there's no denying it's a very unique design, and brilliant in terms of concept and lore.

Speaking of Blue Dragon, the artist of Deathnote, Takeshi Obata, also took a shot with the Blue Dragon folklore by doing the art for the manga “Blue Dragon Ral Grad”. It’s a really good read and is the same concept as Toriyama’s Blue Dragon but for mature audiences.
I have a lot of old art, and I feel I'll never catch up to the new if I don't skip ahead, so on that note, here is one of my most recent works!
