it's #BatAppreciationDay! here's a bat with some flowers i painted a bit ago. they're fascinating animals with very delicate systems... my favourite bats are big-eared bats and spotted bats, personally, but generally any microbat is the cuter of the two types of bat, imo.

@StarShinobi My friends and I enjoy a multitude of OSR systems, but are always debating the merits and flaws of each. I decided to create an amalgamation of systems I like - with my own twists and homebrew of course - and make my own system for us to run. It's coming along nicely.

@JamesPond47 Yeah, that's part of why people find the old 8-bit stuff so tricky. (Quite apart from the lag in modern systems+displays.) 📺 Joystick games often needed quite a bit of dexterity of movement. In the joy-pad era it went much more to multiple buttons, and movement+button combo's.
