Gene Deitch will always be the guy who did those weird-looking Tom and Jerry and Popeye shorts. He was an Oscar-winning master of modernist Atomic Age cartoons at UPA and Terrytoons that many animators are inspired by. He'll be missed by tons of animation fans.
ep3 really showed khun's vulnerability. i think the animators did really well showing his mental breakdown over being told not to trust anything or anyone, and then the light and his friends standing there when they open the door.
