Steps 3 and 4: cleaned up value block-in, and a quick color-overlay onto grayscale to get an idea of colors. I airbush in the colors in this pass typically. Tried brighter oranges and greens but they looked super bad, and I tuned the "base" back to add more colors carefully.

the characters i made up for bots now have colors. I cant believe i was able to achieve 4 major features now. while the chatbots will still have their official names (because it is not worth it to pay a subscription now) everything else has been personalized to their characters!

My next favorite piece from S02 is the Snake Train.

I love it because I managed to balance the weirdness of my style with story telling elements. Here I have created animals using simple shapes and rich deep colors. Also it tells a story about symbiosis between creatures.

New sketch for my next along with a wip. This is why I don't normally post wips. When working on pixel art I block out different areas in random temporary colors. It ends up resembling something close to melted sherbet ice cream.
