It has never been clear wether the RMs from MM1 are siblings or not, this is highly inconsistent between entries and media.

His personality is ironically barely consistent between these AUs, but Erik is wonderful in all of them.
However, not only are the series now consistently named, but the games themselves are also very consistent from one to the other (With the exception of the original Next 0rder), with basically every game produced since Re:Digitize being a consequence of the last one.
However, since the release of "Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth" the localization decided to fix that and now the series "Digimon Story" and "Digimon World" are properly separated, just took 10 years since the Japanese side already started being more consistent.
This is just one of the many reasons why the Digimon series is known as being inconsistent (Other reasons include the various animes with different stories). The general idea is that Digimon has no idea of what it wants to be and no one knows what to expect from the next game

It’s just a noticeable and slightly jarring stylistic change when everyone else’s features seem pretty consistent with previous canon. I don’t know why they’d change it
@pbmoj I don't think how I do hands is bad with my intended visual style, I just have to make it look consistent.
