here's a close up of how the tool sketches with strokes, I like layering them and then when colouring, setting the sketch to an overlay or multiply. It gives it some good depth.

here is my Elijah Wood Caricature study sketch

i love the look of the caricature, and i will leave it at this stage, it feels very painterly, with no fancy brushes...i try to find a way between realism and raw brush strokes

A wonderful macro shot detailing the delicate and textured brush strokes Beatriz Elorza skillfully paints on her canvases.

Using this to play w/ different brush strokes/colors. Spent two days on her face...tried all sorts of stuff. Just started the baby’s face - playing w/ shape, & orientation. Tons more work ahead. I will likely reposition Mary’s eyes, again. Perhaps darken shadows...

Just wanted to take a second to appreciate THE BRUSHSTROKES I was able to achieve in Procreate with the Gouache Pack, they are AMAZING.

Today I had aquarelle croquis and I loved it. These are a variety of 3 min - 20min poses that I made with chaotic brush strokes and then defined with charcoal.

This is pretty cool. Procreate tracks how much time is spent on a piece, how many brush strokes, etc. I had no idea.

Both fluid and strong. Really love the work of contemporary South African artist Hennie Niemann jnr. (b.1972). Brilliant expressive brush strokes capturing the energy, rhythm and harmony of dance - I love

Listen.
I don't remember any time Julian getting into fights or anything violent, and I love him very much but...
I got a thing for drawing boys beat up and bloody after a fun fight, it's a lovely mix to me.
He's so much fun to draw.

Thanks, the vast majority of it is digital! Very occasionally, I change it up and do watercolor, but that's pretty distinct in it's appearance, tends to look something like this. If it doesn't have paint splatters and messy outside the line paint strokes, it's all the same medium
