One of my favourite things to do is walk by and check out the monitors of concept artists who are rapidly doing silhouette blocking. Very interesting process.

Seeing doing the same industry quality work is pretty fantastic.

Wish I had caught the spear size issue earlier. but still having fun. This is built with 3 frame animation sets, so it is pretty limiting for each animation. The head down is supposed to be his blocking animation! :P

Working on blocking out the waterfall material and any other major scene FX I need, the volumetric fog helps a lot in establishing the mood. Also I added some basic animation to the flat water material.

This, my friends, is Ike. We can see his cape being outlined going down the left toward Kirby's head, his left shoulder armour on the left side, blocking the view of Samus' right shoulder, and a bit of his left arm/elbow. Too tall to be Zelda, and he's standing at an angle.
