Anyway on a less whiny note, I have successfully used a workflow to kind of efficiently colour these but ngl, making a pattern for their capes took longer than colouring one of them

Improvement also doesn't always mean getting better at realism! Realism studies are beneficial but it is also valid to just "perfect" drawing the things you like. I can't paint picture perfect landscapes but I can draw whatever funky stuff /I/ like (: and that makes me happy
