Acht was designed in a way to appear intimidating but actually looks cute.
Also, the lines on Acht's head actually spell out the Japanese name which is 'Mizuta' (ミズタ) where 'Mizu' (ミズ) is on the left side of the head and 'Ta' (タ) on the right side.
When the Pinging Marciale goes into its second form, the protrusions around its shell turn into rice pots with actual rice inside.
I love little details like this and wish we have a gallery mode where we can look at the characters' models in great details!
Day 753: I only meant to work the sole of the foot, but I got absorbed in adding some details elsewhere. I think this one will be finished up on Friday/Saturday. It feels like the real challenge was colors and shadows, and now I'm enjoying myself a lot more with the rendering🙂
