Day 5: VIXEN! I feel like Vixen can use an upgrade. I really liked how McDuffie was aiming for her to be basically a mimic of sorts. And while “Vixen” means “female fox” it ALSO means “spiteful woman”. A name change can work wonders, ask Captain Marvel.

This is 'The Seine' by Henry O. Tanner (1859–1937). He studied under Thomas Eakins in the US and studied in France, where he exhibited at the 1896 Salon. He later worked for the Red Cross during WWI, painting images of African American troops in the war.

George Michael was a singer, songwriter and producer who rose to fame as a member of the music due Wham! and later embarked on a solo career. Michael came out in 1998 and was an active LGBTQ+ rights and HIV/AIDS campaigner.
