Beta Politoed:
In Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, Poliwhirl evolved into Politoed when exposed to a Heart Stone -- a scrapped item also used for evolving Natu into Xatu, and Eevee into Espeon.

It's not the best recreation of the original, but I'm proud of it
Beta Leafeon:
In Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, Leafeon's original Japanese name was Riifi (Leafy). He ended up getting cut from Gen 2, but eventually returned with a new name and design in Gen 4.

@Eagle_composer — vested in something before. It makes me wish I took a little more pride in my own recreational activities.'
Beta Blissey:
In Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, Blissey was originally named "Happii" (Happy), and evolved from Chansey at level 45. But she was later renamed & revised to evolve via friendship.

Here's one of several recreations I drew based on archeological information provided by Dr. Moreiras. This is "Huemac," one of the subjects of research. @dimorei uses isotopic techniques to study diet and movement of people in ancient Mexico.
One example is Morelull, which has powerful hallucinogenic properties that some youths use recreationally.
However, once it evolves into Shiinotic, these properties become much more potent, and overdose is very likely if one is not careful.
I originally designed Launch Man with a more humanoid design that still transformed into a rocket, though it cheated more than his current design does. This is a recreation of that old design from what I remember of it.
Couldnt sleep last night so I drew a recreation of a John Wick poster with Tilo because it's a running joke that Tilo gets a gun pointed at him at least once every session
Beta Noctowl:
In Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, Noctowl was pure Flying type -- as were Hoothoot and Ho-oh. Possibly because Game Freak hadn't decided yet what their secondary types should be.

Shulk isn't a good protag because he does recreational reading and that is simply unrealistic.
Beta Scizor:
In Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, Scizor was originally Bug/Flying type and evolved at level 41. But he was later revised to Bug/Steel and evolving via trade with a Metal Coat.
