Saw this type of rationalization a lot during the BND days.
It's a sad sign when you end up dismissing the storytelling process as a whole rather than just acknowledge a piece of a story was poorly written.
Fumo wants you to know you don't have to shrink inwards and hide. You deserve to exist, for people to know you exist and acknowledge you.
So don't hide, fumo says shine and be yourself. Don't become smaller just for others to take up space meant for you.
Knowledge is so accessible nowadays. Lack of knowledge is no excuse for abuse.
