I was trying out a different technique I'm not used to do so I made this character as a test subject.
The character is a miner goblin but these guys use giant mushrooms that glow in the dark instead of candles and lamps.

As seen in these recent artworks, despite me using variety of colors nowadays, I still do the same technique but with a mixture of soft and hard airbrushes.
I guess it can be called my own signature style now?
I've been using this style for 5-6 years, more prevalent since 2020.
The aforementioned contest entry I did back then:
I only did at least 1-2 layers of shadows (w/ 2 colors)
and with the power of the hard airbrush tool, I managed to put where the soft and hard areas are very quickly.
