These coins were struck during the First Punic War with Rome (264-241 BC). Initial issues of the war were struck in relatively pure gold.

Starting in 264 BC, Carthage (present day Tunisia) and Rome fought 3 wars.

1. we had to fight spider swarms that lived in an undead spider, yuck!
2. the husband got caught in a spider web and usually he saves Yoruko, so she had to gloat a bit
