I’m thinking about changing my art style again, I’m not sure. I’m thinking about combining my old (paper) and new (digital) art style some how.

But my question is, do you guys have any tips or tricks for making better art or improving my art style?

i want to get better soon at drawing,,, next month would mark the 2 years since i started digital drawing,, i know i've been improving and i enjoyed the progress i made, but i still can't do backgrounds and lightings,, i wish i have a lot more time to draw

All three of these were of the same cat I drew for a friend. The first (green-ish bg) was when I was 20, the next (rainbow bg) was when I was 23, and the last (sunset bg) was when I was 26. Sometimes I feel I'm not improving, but looking back & comparing makes me feel better.

One other idea I got for either improving Point Sensor or Thermal Ink/Haunt, although it's more debatable, is that whoever gets effected, their icon would either have an outline around it OR throb..?? (similar to how they did it in Splat1 when your ability is activated) +

This one is where things changed it all for me. The brush and stylization made me go: “I definitely should start doing more!”

I felt confident enough, and was a very weird moment, I was dissatisfied with my recent drawings and wanted something new.
