I'd say my improvement was realizing how much I HATE rough, sharp lineart and cell shading, so instead, I started just using a cleaned up sketch, and soft shading. Best choice I ever made when it came to my art.

Angel made sense to be a Dagger because of his cold and sharp demeanor, his design also has a lot of angles. The handle of the blade is meant to look like his tail or his horns depending on if it's flipped. The blade is meant to mimic wings. The blue guard is to match his eyes.
