Tokyo Mew Mew was one of my first comics and thus Mia Ikumi was one of my earliest inspirations as an illustrator. The past few days with this news of her passing have been hard, but it's been wonderful to see fans across the world come together out of love.
So sad to hear about Mia Ikumi passing away. Tokyo Mew Mew was the first manga I ever bought with my own money as a kid. I will always be grateful for the beautiful art she created.
