I updated my 🐊
He's originally an attempt to design Alastor with an animal motif that makes sense for New Orleans, the famous Albino Alligator in Audubon.
Now he's trying to kill Al instead, hahaha, that's just to jumpstart Alastor's redemption.

Fascinating! I always enjoy visiting the Oak Room in Liverpool Central Library to see which page is open of Audubon’s Birds of America.
I also devoted a page to his work in my Liverpool Liver Birds poetic picture book. https://t.co/BkWDoPrZgb

I love historic Natural-History artists. One of my fav’s is Audubon, the American ornithologist, naturalist & artist, who created fabulous art, cataloguing American wildlife. Some of his paintings recorded his beloved birds’ relationships with insects...as food..! ☺️

I thought I'd share "Francis" the Audubon eagle with you this weekend - for Memorial Day. "Francis" had an injured wing before he was "rehabilitated" at the Audubon Center. He was incredibly fun to paint!
