Travel the British Isles with Allan Morgan and admire the ferocity of the waves crashing to shore in this spectacular original ‘Summer Sea’.

Redrew my old oil spill painting from 2 1/2 years ago. My art has changed so much but I am happy to finally work with looser brushstrokes and am not striving for technical perfection and instead work on the “feeling” and storytelling.

This gorgeous Senja Brendon painting is ready for its new home. Brendon cleverly applies textural brushstrokes with varied use of line, direction and consistency to depict the movement of elemental forces.

And that Adora... I loove how you aged her face by adding scars and removing her usually hopeful air..🥺💔 the hair is fantastic, the massive black brushstrokes to add definition and depth to it is such a uniquely inspired artistic solution I've never seen before☺️🥰

Beefed up another sketch into what might be my favorite painting I've ever done? REALLY in love with the brushstrokes and shading I used to make this.

With thanks to for having just the best little fella to draw, Iceball!

The scan of that last piece! Happy with the outcome of this gouache/oil pastel experiment, but let's see if I can get the brushstrokes to pop more in the next attempt.

We have vintage artworks that are perfect for the upcoming Fall season. 🍂 Landscape, Bridge, Huntingdon Valley (ca.1915–1916) painting by Henry Lyman Saÿen shows his signature abstraction, bright colors & rapid brushstrokes.

We love these photos taken by Zoë who recently visited our exhibition. They beautifully capture the gestural brushstrokes and markings is characteristically known for. Thanks Zoë! 📷

Favorite drawing styles:

1. Inky styles where the brushstrokes + energy is the most important
2. "Blocky," semi-realistic painterly styles (using a flat brush - like Leyendecker)
3. Been really into painterly anime backgrounds as of late
4. Matte painting style?

Brushstrokes randomly instanced across the surface of a texture. The brush strokes are black and white images of brushes from art programs.

McCallum recreates choppy Scottish waters and stormy skies with laden, burly, brushstrokes layered upon trickling washes and seaside sand.

’s This Was Water feels especially poignant this week. You can read our recent interview with David on our website to learn more about his thoughts on the impact we have on our planet.

Haven't done one in a bit so here's a quick timelapse of Carver just hanging out on a rooftop.

I like that CSP let's me record these. I just wish it captured more than just the "brushstrokes." A LOT of the process is lost because you can't see how much I use the Lasso Tools. 🤷‍♂️
