Cephalaspis is an ostracoderm ( mainly called Osteotraci ) fish from the devonian period, it's name means "head shield" hence the name.

A trio of large synapsids, the Jonkeria truculenta, approach the river to drink some water. The amphibian Rhinesuhus whaitsi seems to be bothered by these thirsty dinocephalians, and opens its mouth wide to scare them.

Her eyelashes sometimes DO follow her eyelids tho. If I had to assign some kind of biological reason, cephalopods don't have any eyelids but TONS of animals have multiple eyelids; dogs, birds, alligators, sharks, and lots more.
...Or maybe it's just a stylistic choice.
