Got a lego art set and decided to make my own art for it instead of doing the pre-packaged art instructions. It was a lot of fun and I've learned just how important contrast is for this medium. I might do more of these assuming I can get my hands on more art sets.

On R the lightest values have a bigger difference, but the shadows are stronger on L. That's what makes the contrast between the shirt and the jumpsuit stronger.
look at the straps, for example.

i'm just built diff,, i like to sketch bc it's really fun doing jagged lines, being able to fuck up, brainstorming and setting the contrast for the piece, and also lineart bc i get to use pressure brushes + make all the curves jagged/straight lines curved for whatever reason

Estaba revisando los tomos de Majo no Mori de Komen Ieri y me agrada mucho como juegan con el contraste entre fondos y personajes con el primer tomo estando la protagonista en blanco y negro y fondo a color mientras que el segundo haciendo lo opuesto, lindo detalle.
