3 birds from paradise took St. Yared to heaven & there he heard songs of the 24 Elders. In the 6th c. Yared invented a #musical notation system representing pitch/melody still used in the #Ethiopian church. He named his complex melodic layers after the birds Ge'ez, Izil & Araray.

I kinda struggled to make a concept for an Ethiopian #Fakemon as I don't know that much about the country. But a quick google search introduced me to their colourful culture with bright colours and flower decorations. This photo of Woven baskets inspired this fakemon design.
