# crashbandicoot crash4

Itahana says Lani's design is actually based on Pele (the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes) because Minaba wanted to include a nod to Hawaii, where the game was developed. So Itahana designed her as a character who erupts when she gets angry, and her weapon is red because of lava.

Among the NPCs designed by Itahana are Fratley, Lani, Mikoto and Alexandria's inhabitants, according to Famitsu's interview. He also worked on a number of other tasks, such as designing props (like Vivi's ticket), overseeing weapon designs and fixing background graphics.

TBH? I would LOVE to make a show based on the Lani Islands campaign I am happy to be part of. I can honestly see it as a cartoon so vividly taking advantage of an ancient polynesian inspired world (and ideally cast too). Just it would be so nice?
