i tried that & was still running into the same curv map issue. ended up exploding the mesh & got it near perfect. the inner corners still arent baking the way i want but it may be because its not high poly/not baking a high poly mesh into it? much more manageable tho!

It's truely criminal that I can't just have all bald characters 😔

It's all working! Got a multires modifier allowing me to sculpt a detailed mesh, while retaining this low-poly base mesh that's already UV unwrapped with happy UVs and it'll be much easier to rig!
