how to ribbon if you're a lazy bitch like me

step 1 take calligraphy pen
step 2 set blending mode to multiply (on the brush not the layer)
step 3 pick a medium to lighter color cuz multiply makes everything darker

6. I show the shading layer again and have it clip to the flats folder. Then, I alpha lock the shading layer and turn it dark red. Depending on the colour underneath (I usually do this for white), I turn some areas dark blue as well. I then set it to Multiply.

So for rendering, because I never could get the hang of multiply+overlay shading, I really just find a base color, add some very vague shadows, and then blend and add colors until it looks good, usually treating said shading as if I'm carving out the final if that makes sense

Experiment with tone layers in Clip Studio Paint. One for each Yellow, Cyan and Magenta, set to multiply.
I used 6 different values for the tone, from solid, to nothing at all.
