Unpopular opinion: it's "Ring" not "Ringu". The title in Japan is written in Katakana (リング). Often used for titles to suggest it should be said in a western pronunciation. Even official Japanese materials use "Ring" not "Ringu". To say the remake title is wrong isn't true.
