show, along with its characters and story, were set in stone by the original showrunner, who was replaced by Ben and Pat. Despite this, they were not allowed to make any major changes to the story or characters, meaning Ben couldn't make the third season of SatAM he wanted.
Ben Hurst had often said that had he been brought on first for Sonic Underground, he simply would've made it Sonic SatAM Season 3.
The show had actually been in development for quite some time before Ben and Pat were called in to be writers for the series. The premise of the-
Hedgehog, though early bibles called him 5 1/2 years old and 4 3/4 years old.
However, as AoSTH went further into production, SatAM would develop further. Tails was aged up, rather than being only 4 1/2 years old, Tails was made 10 years old, which is even stated in the actual-
film document, rather than the original spelling.
The Sea3on comic uses the "Naugus" spelling, as do many SatAM fan continuations.

Did you know that the spelling of Naugus's name in Sonic SatAM was originally "Nagus"?
On his SatAM model sheet, Naugus's name was actually spelled "Nagus". This spelling of his name was also used by Ben Hurst in many of his early internet messages/chat logs when discussing the-
(originally named "Boomer"), they had considering changing his species from a walrus to a sea lion, as stated in the SatAM story bible developed by Len Janson.
However, it was later decided to revert him back into a walrus, and he appeared as such in the show proper.
Had another interesting dream before waking up, It was an MMO-type game where the hub was a cream colored medievel dream mall-type place, where the playable characters were anthros (mine is the dog girl in image 1) and the villains were four very SatAM-ish colored imps.
