Black and white art is great if you want to emphasize the expressions, texture, or complex shapes. It is a good choice for printing and shirt design materials too

My work is not colourful and neither it’s entirely black and white; I use warm and cool tones of grey along with pigment pens for lines, dots and shapes. I sketch on paper as well as use procreate to develop these.

I ended up using a reference image because this was meant to be a study of sorts but you'll see they don't match up 100%. That's on purpose. My goal wasn't to copy. I just needed a reference for the form and shapes. Hopefully one day I can draw sonic characters in my own style!

Concept of some of my characters using shapes. First i began by drawing the silhouettes and then i started sketching inside the silhouettes, and i'm really glad how it turned out!.
The right is almost perfect, while i'm still trying to figure out the left one. ❤️

Thought it'd be fun to see how I sketch backdrops in pixels. It's just a fat brush to get a sense of color, depth and shapes. Unfortunately I just keep polishing the sketch and save nothing so I have to use one unfinished BG and a different finished one, hah.
