Moray the Kelpie is a timid creature. Before being friends with Murieall his older brothers would pick on him for not acting like a Kelpie. In folklore, Kelpies are shapeshifters (horses mainly) and drown people but he doesn’t want to.

I've been drawing basically all day.

Sci-fi D&D 3.5e setting, species is half-fiend. Found a species called "Gren" in a "converted races" manual. Shapeshifters that are plant-like, and always have a green tint to them. Mixed with a Hezrou demon.
