This is where it has ended up! Mixed media and working over varnish with more acrylic. Interesting effects when you scratch back through the wet paint.

A study of hands. The varnish has yellowed, but you can see the streaks of grey on the gesso - a technique of Rubens - it adds depth to sheer glazes. Opaque whites come forward, shadows recede (sheer darks).
