As usual, we’re gonna start by very roughly blocking out our shading so we can visualize it without worrying about it being pretty. You’ll trash this layer later, so it’s okay if it’s ugly. Even though I don’t usually do light, adding it here helps me keep forms in mind.

what i do when i can't get a pose right is that i trace over the images i want and then i start changing what i like.
Sometimes it helps visualize what you want of the pose and also helps the muscle memory of "things go in here this way"
