In a way, I'd say it more connects to Duo, but his new look was made by Light. Wily prolly still studied what he could from the encounters though.

And even though it is an alt universe, I think of it even more when I see Battle Network's Duo.

While Megaman 1 didn't have music in it's title screen, the "Wily Wars" version uses the theme from MM3 as the MM1 theme.

The title screen also uses the Japanese arrangement of the logo instead of the localized pyramid arrangement, but saying "Megaman" instead of "Rockman."
