🌿🔥🌿Cornish charm to heal burns...
Float 9 bramble leaves in water from a holy well, pass each leaf over the burn saying:
There came 3 angels out of the east,
1 brought fire & 2 brought frost.
Out fire & in frost,
In the Name of the Father, Son & Holy Ghost.

That weird glowy orb in the sky makes us long for a day at the Cornish coast.
At least we have Cornish Coast by Christine Hughes, from the collection at @HantsCulture and that's kind of the same thing... right? #OnlineArtExchange @artukdotorg

@marysia_cc @Peasweat2 @GrimArtGroup I’m a big fan of Norman Cornish, who included washing lines in many of his paintings. I particularly like ‘Wash Day’, where the drying ground is also used to graze a horse while children and their dog play on it. Fantastic art and social history. (Private Collection)

He shared a studio in London with Scots painters Robert Colquhoun & Robert MacBryde & later Keith Vaughan. Cornish Coast (1945), Summer Landscape (1945), The Barge (1946) & Deserted Garrison (1947). The latter is an elegiac sense of loss & time passing.
Art and the contribution of music in pubs and communities as captured by Cornish in previously unseen images.

St Michael & the Devil were always getting into scraps, including in Cornish folklore. The devil was flying, with a giant Boulder, on his way to block the gates of hell. St Michael fights him until he drops the Hell Stone, which later became Helston in Cornwall #FolkloreThursday
