In Italy 40 years ago today, Ruggero Deodato unleashed cinematic insanity. Forever controversial & influential, it’s an important part of film history. Or, as @misszombiequeen writes:
“Happy Birthday, CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST—you sick fuck.”

Today is #HolocaustRemembranceDay, which marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau on January 27, 1945. We must #NeverForget what happened, and the millions of people who perished. (1 of 3)
From personal responses to official recordings, art is crucial to our understanding and remembrance of the Holocaust. These 12 pieces capture the ongoing legacy of loss, desperation and exclusion: https://t.co/2pkF6pmxTM #HolocaustMemorialDay

Today is Holocaust Memorial Day #HMD2020 #HolocaustMemorialDay. Educators, spend time today talking about the past. If we never forget, we can build a better future that is without hatred and prejudice.
I wrote this many years ago. Sharing it today. https://t.co/iFkUdj2Uhm
This #HolocaustMemorialDay here is a cover I did for "The Devil In Vienna" by Doris Orgel.
A very powerful and moving book that is still sadly relevant today.
#neverforget @DorisOrgel
Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day. Last year I learned about the IRemember Wall of @YadVashem . When you sign up, you will be randomly linked to one of the millions of victims and your name will appear together on the wall. This is Josi Shvartz Svart.

Roman Halter (1927 – 2012) was a Polish painter, sculptor, writer, architect and Holocaust survivor. His moving and powerful art was born from the horrors of the concentration camp. #holocaust #painting #art I love #HolocaustMemorialDay
For #HolocaustMemorialDay. When Samuel Bak's (1933) home town in Poland was occupied by the Germans in 1941, Bak & his family were moved into the ghetto. At the age of 9, he held his first exhibition inside the Ghetto. He & his mother were the only survivors from his family.

Today is #HolocaustMemorialDay so I want to share a book about one of the special people who risked all to try to keep others safe. Meip Gies actions helped the world know and gave the horror of the Holocaust a human face. @MeegPincus and #JordiSolano have created a treasure.
