I illustrated many, but by no means all, of the paintings done by Rapunzel for the show, looking to Claire Keane's original paintings for inspiration. I would submit a rough sketch, based on the board panel I was given to work from, and once that was approved, move on to color.

It's the part of my comic I put the most effort into, honestly. Faces are the parts of us that our eyes go to first, and I believe it was Glen Keane who said something like, "For god's sake, don't mess up the eyes." I use them to tell as much of the story as the words and layout.
