Triceratops and its brethren likely had quills. There's a few Ceratopsian fossils documented with large quills on their tails.

I got a bit of a shock this morning when I found that it was 14 years ago today since a big gang of us enjoyed an adult summer plumaged White-billed Diver on the north Dublin coast. It still remains a favourite of mine!

I've been thinking about my visualisations of birdsong coupled with instinctive mark making onto birds photography. The colours I select either match or contrast its plumage, the shapes cushion/surround the bird protecting it from the white of the paper. I love working this way❤
