Battle of Inverlochy Castle in 1431 the MacDonald family against Earl of Mar & Earl of Atholl, supporters of King James I of Scots (1406-1437). It was unclear who had won (MacDonalds won). Earl of Mar fled without a horse and bare foot back to his Castle of Kildrummy.
