I literally love how you draw and shade, especially your shading.
Anytime i see your art on my timeline I like to analyze how you drew it

Started replaying the original so I eventually play through the series and try the 2018 game. Forgot how good it was. I still don't vibe with the excessive qte tho.
Here's a sketch. Tried something different with the shading. Hope everyone enjoys it.

So, I've been trying out a new style of shading.
I'm using two layers of shading, one for skin (25% opacity) and one for clothes (30%). Then I use another for the heavy shadows, which was inspired by TWEWY.
I really like this one, but what do you think?

First time experimenting with gradient shading. It was fun but I think I might do stuff differently next time. Very pretty character though saw it in the tag and remembered in 2020 doing one of these it helped improve

Updated Version with proper shading. Also 8K and Face Variation on Patreon as usual.

I also wanted to share this "stripped down" version where I accidentally just turned off all of the shading. I think the cleaner look is charming in its own right, letting the ornate patterns speak louder

I was suppose to sleep earlier, but decided to finish this piece. Couldn’t sleep anyways thinking about it haha. Went with a different route with the shading. I hope you like it~ 💙

2 versions with minor eye difference.

you can see they're lit like relief sculpture: there's a drop shadow, and slight highlights and shading. they're lit from the top, like light is coming in from windows above you:

Was there ever any arts you made that was a huge change for you?
No matter what, I won’t forget these three art helped me grow to a great artist.
First one stand for improvement in coloring.
Second was for the start of cell shading.
And third was learning to do better line art.

I want to do more art of my characters, but I've been feeling very uninspired/unmotivated recently... Anyway, here's Surtr now with shading.

This is it. Years of arting. Months of Anime Practice, and 4 days of planning, drawing, lining, coloring and shading. I present the greatest drawing I've done since starting to draw in December 2019...i'm gonna be 29 soon

Here is the new concept OC I've been working on.
She has no name as of yet, feel free to leave suggestions(I'm bad at naming characters, but I like short 1-2 syllable names).
I used this opportunity to use different brushes for shading.

Wanted to practice at making cartoon characters more life like and 3D without the use of lines. I copied from an original screenshot so I could just focus more on the lighting and shading.

I think I like subconsciously leaning towards warmer colors, especially when shading.

Been too long since I last drew

Tried something different. Just the base colors with almost no shading. (It bothers me a little that it’s so rough, but when I keep going I tend to make it worse)
