I feel like it's a hard balance to have charming & fun characters who's actions are deep rooted in insecurity w/o going overboard & making them too sweet & sympathetic. Both chars are selfish & thoughtless enough to keep things funny, & it helps the sweet moments stand out more

I really appreciate Siren as a character. He's very sympathetic and understanding. He reflects upon his own experience with a cursed prophecy to show compassion towards these people, despite them almost killing him and his friends a moment ago. That's king behavior right there
