I also enjoy doing various styles of pixel art and practice it on the off hand. I want to try doing some more of it and will throw up some examples to let people see if my work might line up with your interests.
I had the idea to go with a more mid-to-late-90s anime-inspired art style cuz I've always really loved how anime from that era looks and feels. So it was an obvious choice for me lmao.

Also the only difference in Shonen/Shojo is the name, as both have the same stuff. Action, drama, romance of various types, casts largely male & female, focus shifts between character drama and fights & more.
Despite the names, both have many shows with a wide target audience.
