Between the straps, the armguards and the half belt thing, it's clearly based on Jim Lee's Hush design. And like with that design, I can't say I'm a huge fan of it. I appreciate some of the finer details, like the qipao-like skirt and the slippers, but...

'Irish Battle Scene' ~ Countess Constance Markievicz. The warriors are dressed in toga-like garments and have strapped sandals, the straps to the knees. The design work on the blanket of the white horse in the foreground resembles Celtic lacework.

The right one isn't horrible, just plain and generic. A lot of things in this show look plain, and the designers tried to remedy that by adding useless slits and straps to the clothes. The writing in the new show is... not great, but we're talking purely about designs.
