A first episode with a great central performance and excellent production values, but were the fantastical elements necessary or a distraction from a genuinely remarkable historical figure?

I either sketch or do thumbnails with values, and then I sometimes add flat colour, but I usually paint over. It depends what exactly I'm trying to achieve. My process constantly changes and I agree that experimentation is what helped me to grow.

(Eg. 3 WIPs and 1 finished art!)

=- Spring Rain -=
Inspired by JC Mezieres's work that I admire and 's movie (of course!). Most of all it's about playing with textures, values and lines to convey that after-the-rain mood & light

Skill 2 SL10:
While Makarov's Skill 1 is active, Makarov will give the allies on her tiles with the worst accuracy and evasion values 50% of Makarov's accuracy and evasion

(Skill 2 might target 2 different allies? Needs testing)

SPEQ:
+16 FP, +10% Echelon's Accuracy

Daily, I feel myself receding from the loud, constant voices of the internet.

Like my inner chemistry has slowly been transforming. Atoms evolving. Rearranging my values, thoughts. Growing.

Paint study, focusing on values (B&W), of "Maud Coats", original piece by John Singer Sargent. Back to painting studies!

Hand Study, with some values, plus warm and cool lighting. (Two light sources).

Did a super quick doodly painting to practice using values properly. Halftones, average light and dark, ambient lighting and occlusion... it's a lot to keep track of! But I'm getting the hang of it.

hi here's the black and white. I don't use grayscale to color, I just do value studies to i always put a filter of grayscale when i'm done coloring to check values ;w;

Although the production values are nothing special, the art direction & music are really good. Not Mushishi-level good, but they really add a lot to the atmosphere. I’ll savor this every morning.

3) Focusing on temperatures warming and cooling the colors without messing too much with the hue or values (saturating the colors for warms and desaturating them for cools)

0 5

2) Focusing on painting the overall values using just 3 colors (light, shadows and darker shadows jaja)

Still Life study with simplified values. Getting back to studying after adjusting to the stress of freelance life feels soo good!

Now my challenge is to keep on studying while juggling commission work, because I want to keep on growing 💪

Really liked the creature design I made and wanted to work on some of my light values. Really feeling it with this one. 🖤☠️

''Pump: I wasn't joking
Skid: ...I forgive you''

Pump is honest and Skid values that! And the fear only lasts for a few minutes, haha
