If you are keen on some in depth study a book I highly recommend is "Bird Anatomy for Artists" by Natalia Balo. It's really fantastic at breaking down the structure underneath.

I also found a good exercise for learning about simplifying feathers was to trace my own photos. :)

Finished blocking out the colours on the center structure of this piece! Will start on colouring some. More elements tomorrow probably 😁 hope you guys like it so far!

The Abbey in the Oakwood (1809-10) by Caspar David Friedrich (German, 1774-1840). Leaning tombstones, sombre processions, lifeless trees, ruined structures in the mist, feelings over thinking. It must be Romanticism.

Did you know that bearded dragons (and other reptiles) use the bone structure at the front of the neck called the hyoid, combined with the muscles attached to them to give them the ability to flare their beards?

I do think it was time to revaluate how i structure faces now. I wasnt sure why i was stuck sometimes in making her look young but..

Katsuo Twintail here! I come from a nonexistant city and train heroes! Let's see... though my best skills are with a blade I technically use ice to create structures instantly though a deep understanding of architecture acquired over two thousand years!

Sometimes gotta be lazy! Already have PCBs so why not keep reusing them?? It's quite a bit different but the infrastructure is a lot easier to manage this way
