Game mechanics:

How the series tackles this aspect really invested me with how grounded it made everything.
The evolving world questlines, combat, raid, party, AI, and the way players physically interact with the environment within the game just made the world so vivid.

People forgets that the DM is also playing and wants to experience the story and be surprised as much as players. Insecure DMs try to act tough and hurt the characters, True DMs make the player cry through narrative.
