#ayato's clothing is very reminiscent of the meiji period... in the meiji period, western influence became important in japanese society. however, japanese people did not give up their culture or adopt western clothing in its entirety- rather, it was their own version. 1/2

The apocalyptic theme is influenced by western standards but with Japanese twist idk, the MCs and their action is like Jackie Chan x Mel Gibson out there in the desert, badly beaten but still there will still make a comeback to kick ass of that thing.
I never realized that Darna also had some weird costume changes. I guess that's also a thing from western comics that pinoy komiks also adapted.
