Ber again! I've learned to be more loose in my brush strokes. And a few certain artists may have influenced me, hehe

Personally I find it really helpful to treat it like shading in color. Draw outlines with color, and then round out the forms in gradients, them start to mix them if you want smoother, with fewer brush strokes showing. That's kind of how I did it in this painting.

Heres a painting in a more classical style, making the strokes a bit more visible.

Otherwise, this was sort of a test to see how far my painting can go, and this is around where my skill is at now. Done off reference as well as one layer -3-

Trying out a new coloring technique. I love how the brush strokes are showing.

This is what I do when I have some paint left on my palette that I don't want to go to waste 👀👌

Oil on wood, acrylic on glass, gouache, oil on canvas. I feel like I am just now making my range of brushstrokes noticeable. There is a degree of how loose or how tight I paint. But perhaps that’s all in my head and I wanted to be included. 🥺

with some faces! ✨
I love painting and brushstrokes, and I also love the simplicity of lines and flat colors.
Experimenting is what I love the most about art!

Senja Brendon's works embody the immensity and elemental qualities of the ocean in all its raw and untamable beauty. On Brendon later carer, her love of Turner’s loose brushstrokes and dramatic skies became evident.
