Flutter is a vampire bat that absorbs depth. This exchanges thicknesses, but things revert to normal for both after some time. Closer to actual vampire bats than the vampire monster. Has no claim to any weekdays at all, unlike some feline you may be thinking about.

Lucien has a lot of ocean/water metaphor, especially in the way his eyes got described.
Just like the ocean, he's gentle but strong, kind but also cruel, restrained yet also indulgent, hiding an unfathomable depth yet also made you to just want to submerged in it.
